Repton pupils celebrate GCSE results day
Repton School is celebrating another pleasing set of GCSE results, reflecting the commitment, resilience and ambition of its pupils.
Nearly half of all grades were awarded at the highest levels, including a third at grades 8–9, while three quarters were at grades 6–9. Twelve pupils achieved an exceptional 91 grade 9s between them, demonstrating both outstanding individual achievement and a strong overall performance across the cohort.
Theo B achieved a perfect set of ten grade 9s, while Anoushka H secured ten grade 9s and one grade 8 across her eleven subjects. Dylan H, Anna P, Harneve S, Charles O, Moto Y, Aaron A-K, Will A, George E-T and Eniari O all achieved a clean sweep of grades 8 and 9, while Natasha H earned ten grades at 8 or above. Many of these pupils are also deeply involved in Repton’s extensive sporting and co-curricular programme, making their achievements all the more impressive.
Headmaster Mark Semmence commented:
“The real value of these grades lies in the doors they open and the opportunities they create over the next two years. Sixteen is an age at which pupils begin to make genuine choices about the direction of their education, and results like these mean those choices are theirs to make freely.
“What we see in this set of results is the drive and ambition of our pupils, matched by the strength of the teaching and support they receive here at Repton. We are immensely proud of what this year group has achieved and look forward to seeing all that they go on to accomplish in the next stage of their journey.”
